Fast-forward to today: this is a great place to grab a drink at the American Draft Brewery or stroll down Station Street, the perfect spot for live entertainment in Chattanooga. And it’s also just Tennessee’s second open container route. So have a drink at Regan’s, Westbound or Backstage Bar and show off.
From your first steps up to the grand entrance of Chattanooga Choo, you will encounter a timeless charm, unmatched by anything else in the city. You can almost hear the trains whistle as you look at the illustrious details in the vaulted ceilings of the Chattanooga Chain Chain Lobby, transporting you back to the days of railroad cars and top hats. (No judgment if you’re currently wearing a top hat.) Look over the lobby and through the gates to Glenn Miller Gardens, and you’ll find original wagons you can sleep in. You heard that right. You can stay in train cars (or a regular hotel room if a room with casters isn’t your thing). The point is, there is something for everyone!
If the simple historic beauty of Chattanooga Chow Chow won’t keep you going for hours (it will), then you can catch a show at the Comedy Catch. Or maybe grab a bite or a drink at one of the many places that share the walls of Choo Choo. Burgers? The Terminal Brew House. Cocktails Gate 11 Distillery Fresh Oysters MIX. Coffee? Sparkling monkey. How about a fun night out with friends locked in a room you can’t escape from? Well, the point is to escape, but Escape Experience doesn’t make it easy for you. The war chariot can really ruin your head, but maybe getting stuck in a real chariot isn’t that bad?
