The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors released the April 2021 Chattnooga real estate numbers, and I’m sharing them with you today:
The number of new listings has increased by 27.3% from April 2020. The number of closed sales is up by 25.0% from last year’s numbers.
Homes for sales are being sold faster this year with an average of 23 days compared to 50 days last year
Metric | Apr-20 | Apr-21 | Percentage of Change |
New Listings | 978 | 1245 | 27.3% |
Closed Sales | 829 | 1036 | 25.0% |
Days on Market | 50 | 23 | -54.0% |
Median Sales Price | $216,000 | $252,500 | 16.9% |
Homes for Sale | 2409 | 820 | -66.0% |
The number of homes for sale is still a concern as the numbers keep on going down and the Chattanooga is still on a seller’s market.
But that doesn’t mean homebuyers should be wary of finding their dream home as the mortgage interest rate is still low. There is a lot that our team can do to help you find the perfect home.
